What is Opening Minds, Opening Doors?
This public speaker training program combines the arts of storytelling and acting with public speaking skills so that self-advocates can bring their stories to the general public. Through presentations at state conferences and other events, self-advocates will show people that we are all more alike than different.

Join us for one of our monthly open mics where you can share a story, poem, song, or other talent in a fun and supportive neighborhood bookstore. It's the perfect venue for OMOD stories! The open mic is wheelchair accessible, but please contact us at least one week in advance to request other accommodations, including ASL interpreting, audio description, etc.
